How do I prepare my skin prior to SkinPen® micro-needling?

It is beneficial to prepare the skin with the recommended skin products for 2 weeks prior to treatment. This primes the skin for treatment, protecting it from any side effects and promoting a healthier skin to assist in the healing process following the procedure.


How many treatments will I need?

Depending on your skin concern you will require more than one treatment. 
Often a course of 4 treatments is best and your clinician will discuss your treatment plan based on your individual needs. 
Treatments are preformed 4 - 6 weeks apart for best results.


What can I expect after my treatment? 

There is very little downtime following treatment. Facial redness (like “sunburn”) for 12-48 hours is common and some people may experience mild stinging, swelling and bruising. 
Occasionally with deeper treatments you may experience some mild crusting or scabbing.Results are often noticed after your first treatment and best results after 3 - 6 months.
